STORASOL presented the following study as part of the StoreEnergy trade fair. In a current and a future scenario, an economic comparison of the combination PV & OPTES ® battery versus PV & Li-ion battery is presented.

The results show significantly lower electricity production costs (LCOP) for the OPTES ® battery compared to the Li-ion battery for both, the current and the future scenario, especially with charging and discharging times of more than 4 hours. Thus, a significantly higher profitability can be achieved with the OPTES ® battery compared to the Li-ion battery. The presentation slides can be downloaded HERE .
