For lower power classes, the OPTES battery has been further developed into the OPTES-GT. The OPTES-GT Battery is based on an open Brayton Cycle.

The OPTES-GT Battery was presented for the first time at the 3rd International Workshop on Carnot Batteries on September 28th, 2022 in Stuttgart.
