MATERIAL TEST AT OVER 1000 °C
Storage materials can be tested with temperatures of more than 1000 °C in the latest experimental set-up.
First experiments show the expected behaviour of the material. There are no changes due to the high thermal stress. The excellent temperature resistance of the storage material is confirmed.
A temperature of 1029.8 °C was reached in the first experiment.
Further experiments will be carried out in the coming weeks to check the material's cycle stability more closely.
